Wishing the World
Words and Music by Ian Ash

With winter upon us, our blood beats still

Our hands’ getting drier, our knees got the chills

But I can tell from the warmth of our hearts

When we give it all, we don’t have a weak part

Our Christmas is merry,

Our Hanukah’s happy

Our Kwanzaa is joyous

So why won’t you join us in wishing the world happy holidays?

We’ve filled up the carts and we’ve filled up the trees

What can we fill up for those that have needs?

Some are so broken, we don’t feel the pain

How did Ebaneezer break free from the chains?

Joy should multiply, it shouldn’t divide

We smile in one language, there’s no need for sides

We think there’s more power in being unique

But true power comes from empathy

Knowing you breathe, and thirst and hunger just like me

I'm wishing the world, yeah I'm wishing the world (happy holidays)
